New monthly club night starting January 2018

West London Island Life – Hosted by Maroon Town

For a while, we have been looking for the ideal venue to put on a monthly ska/reggae/other world music night. Well, we have found that venue – The Troubadour in West London. Having played there three times during 2017 we realised it is the ideal venue. It is just the right size – a great balance between intimacy and space to move and dance and it has an incredible heritage having hosted legendary artists such as Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix and many many more icons of modern music.

We have made a plan to begin playing there monthly from January 2018. The first is on 27th January and you are invited come down to The Troubadour and get into the island vibe and divine rhythm with Maroon Town and special guests.

So get your tickets NOW!

Sponsoring and supporting the night is Port Royal Patties (more supporters and collaborators to be announced)

Net profits will be used in aid of Alpha Boys School, Kingston, Jamaica. Alpha boys school is a long-standing educational and vocational training centre for inner-city unattached youth in Kingston Jamaican. Four founding members of the Skatalites (Tommy McCook, Johnny “Dizzy” Moore, Lester Sterling and Don Drummond owe their success in life to both the personal and vocational education they received at Alpha. The Centre continues to provide vital support both educational and training to the marginalised youth of Kingston.
